How to read this change log
We organize updates in reverse chronological order. Newer entries appear at the top. Each entry lists the date, the pages that changed, and a short description of what we did. When a change affects many pages, we may group those updates into a single entry and provide an overview.
The dates shown here are the dates when changes were published to the live site. In some cases, a page may also show its own "Updated on" line near the top. If there is a difference, use the date on the specific page as the best reference for that page's content.

We completed a major trust and structure update for TechConnect Relief. This work created a more complete set of "about" style pages and clarified our role as an independent educational site. It also added a small set of new resource pages focused on state level programs and on what to do if a free tablet application is denied.

- Created a dedicated Editorial Standards page that documents our source and update practices.
- Added an Author page for Michael Reyes with background on digital inclusion work and experience.
- Rebuilt the Contact page with clearer safety guidance and topic options.
- Replaced short on page policy text with full Privacy Policy and Terms of Use and Disclaimers pages.
- Launched this Change Log page to document meaningful updates over time.
- Published a new hub page on Free Tablet Programs by State to explain how state level differences work.
- Published a detailed guide titled Help if Your Tablet Application Is Denied for readers whose first attempt was not approved.
Homepage copy refresh and FAQ tuning

We updated the main homepage guide to improve clarity around eligibility and to reflect the fact that program funding and provider offers change over time. We also tuned the FAQ section to match common questions we were seeing from readers.
- Reworded sections on eligibility, document preparation, and application steps for easier reading.
- Clarified that TechConnect Relief does not run application portals and that readers should always verify details on official sites.
- Updated FAQ entries to emphasize the need to check current status of programs such as the Affordable Connectivity Program and Lifeline.
- Added a short change note to the bottom of the homepage for transparency.
Initial launch of TechConnect Relief site

We launched the first version of TechConnect Relief as a single page guide that explained how low income households could explore options for free or discounted tablets through communications assistance programs and related local initiatives.
- Published the first edition of the "How to Get a Free Government Tablet in 2025" guide.
